HAL WMS:

What is it?

• A bar-coding and tracking system that identifies and locates products stored in your warehouse(s).  HALWMS interfaces with the inventory control system module of your host accounting system.   The WMS solution includes radio frequency (RF) terminals, scanners, bar code printers and the HALWMS software. Also included in the package are RFID and Voice Assisted applications.

System Environment

HALWMS is written using IDOL-IV, a 4GL language from Thoroughbred Software International.  There are over 300,000 installed sites of Thoroughbred around the world. The Warehouse Management System runs on Microsoft, UNIX/Linux, and VMS-based computer systems and easily interfaces with your host accounting system.

Implementation

The goal is to implement your WMS solution as quickly as possible so you can begin to realize all the benefits of your new warehouse management system.  Typically, this takes 2-4 months and includes an assessment of your facility to determine the required RF equipment, any software customization you need, administrator & user training, RF equipment and bar-code printer installations, and live implementation.
